1. What we collect

When you register we store your email address and the password (securely hashed — we never see or send the plain password). We also store the profile details you provide (username, avatar, role, hobbies, learning direction) and your learning progress (XP, streak, completed lessons).

2. How we use it

Your data is used to run your account, track your learning, personalise daily challenges, and show your public profile and community presence to other learners. We do not sell your data.

3. What others can see

Your username, avatar, level, and streak are visible to other learners (for example on the leaderboard and community chat). Your email, password, and private learning notes are never shown to other users. Direct messages are only visible to you and the person you message.

4. Friends & direct messaging

Adding a friend lets the two of you start private direct chats. Your friends list is stored on your profile. Direct messages are protected so only the sender and recipient can read them.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use local storage to remember your theme preference and to cache audio for faster playback. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Your choices

You can edit your profile details any time, remove friends, or delete your account. You may contact us to request deletion of your data.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. Passwords are hashed and never transmitted in plain text.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13; if you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
